Pets – book a dog room

We make it easy for the whole family to come along and enjoy the fun! We have several rooms and suites where dogs are welcome to stay with you. Unfortunately, man’s best friend cannot spend time with you by or in the pool, but there are a multitude of nearby places to visit with your pet such as a dog park, nice walking routes, and spots where your dog can swim.

Book dog-friendly rooms

Dogs are welcome to stay in some of our rooms and suites for an extra fee (500 SEK per stay for extra cleaning). The rooms have dog bowls for their meals, but you should bring your own dog bed. Due to allergies, dogs are not allowed to accompany guests into the restaurant or other public areas of the hotel.

You are welcome to contact us regarding reservations. We would be happy to assist you in booking one of our dog-friendly rooms: Phone: +46 431 55 82 13 or Email: bokning@rivierastrand.se.

NOTE! Our dog rooms can only be booked according to the references above and not online.

Tips for dog owners

Dog Park: In Malenskogen Forest, just behind Hotel Riviera Strand, you will find a gorgeous dog meadow (see map below). This ample green space is a large, fenced-off space where you can take your dog off its leash and play together to your heart’s content.

Walking Routes: There are many nice walks along the boardwalk, through the forest, and along the river. The boardwalk and some walking trails are lit during the evening for a late-night stroll together.

Beach: Between May 1–September 15, dogs are not permitted on the beach between 08:00 and 18:00. After that — just in time for the evening walk — dogs are welcome on the sand. Dogs are freely permitted on the beach around the clock the other days of the year.

Dog Baths: Just a five-minute walk from the hotel are dog bathing facilities, a place where dogs are welcome all year round. The dog bath is located on the sand beach by the Stensån estuary, just 150 meters north (see map below). This shallow swimming spot is popular for both two- and four-legged friends. Once you’ve had your fill of the water, you and your pet can cool off in Stensån, just by a dog park, although at times it may be a bit muddy.
